This digital Google Slides resource is the digital version of my Nonfiction Text Feature Sort. For a limited time, this resource will be at a discounted price!
Do your students need help learning the vocabulary of nonfiction text features (captions, glossary, index, etc.)? In this resource, a "sorting map" is given to each student, and then they sort pictures of the features as well as an explanation of their purpose.
Features focused on are:
*table of contents
*index
*bold words
*headings
*captions
*graphs/charts
*glossary
Great as a quick review or warm-up before a nonfiction study. After students have mastered these features, the cards could be glued down and the chart could be referenced when needed. Fantastic resource for ELL / ESL students!
